This webinar will offer current, practical information about the ACGME accreditation site visit in the Single Accreditation System (SAS), focusing on site visit scheduling, program notification, preparation for the visit and what to expect on the day of the site visit. The webinar will address site visits for programs on pre-accreditation, programs on continued pre-accreditation, and site visits for osteopathic programs and sponsoring institutions after two years of initial accreditation to allow them to transition to continued accreditation.

Clarification in response to participant’s question about Site Visits for Subspecialty Programs:

ACGME’s general FAQ guidance says that all core and some subspecialty programs will require a site visit to transition into the single accreditation system. According to the Executive Director of ACGME’s Internal Medicine Review Committee, IM subspecialties will NOT require a site visit to transition.
