Henry Ford Allegiance Health began residency training in 2013 with a commitment to promote residents education to cultivate health habits and hobbies. The intent of the program is to encourage resident physicians’ engagement and exposure in activities which may become the basis of a resilient life-style. The program exposes residents to different activities and hobbies in order to promote stress management. We will share our learnings over the last three years, since the inception of the program.
• State the goals of a resident wellness program
• Discuss topical areas where residents have indicated uncertainty with coping and/or managing
• Explain the program’s adaptation since inception
• Share resident perceptions of the program
